American Prostate Cancer Foundation (APCF) was established with the vision that minimally invasive technologies could improve the quality of life for patients. Therefore, we expect to provide patients with access to state-of-the-art technologies to diagnose and treat prostate cancer, especially those in financial need. This includes a provision of subsidies to organizations that support patients’ access to diagnostic services and treatment for prostate cancer, especially for indigent or uninsured patients.
Our Mission includes education to increase awareness of prostate cancer and the various diagnostic and treatment options available, emphasizing minimally invasive techniques (MIT) to preserve the quality of life.
APCF health care professionals expect to educate the public to raise awareness and encourage the implementation of Yoga/Ayurveda/Nutritional therapies as integrated approaches for combating cancer. In addition, yoga Practitioners will be invited to develop individualized treatments for their clients. These plans include lifestyle recommendations such as exercise, diet, herbs, mindfulness, and self-awareness techniques to improve the quality of life.
Outcomes and data may be shared with nonprofit collaborators and hospitals regarding benefits to the public for advancing the use of MIT. APC Foundation’s goals include an instrumental role in connecting, convening, and influencing stakeholders and fostering collaboration.
